Grilled "Nem chua" HanoiIf anyone has been to Hanoi in the winter day, you'll see along the streets there are many types of grill restaurants. Perhaps because Hanoi winter, in cold weather, people often prefer to sit where the restaurants sipping hot. Which is the potato, maize, cassava boiled ... legs, wings, quail ... Grilled, not to mention dishes especially grilled “nem chua” Hanoi.

People  said that the origin of this dish is quite simple: starting from a winter afternoon 20 years ago, when an elementary school boy on his way to school on Au Trieu street through old woman’s yam shop, he  asked for grilled his “nem chua”  for less bitter cold.After grilled, she saw that the “nem chua” had  golden finish, fragrant, try to eat the fleshy, tough, sweet, fatty flavor unforgettable ... This accident has contributed to Hanoi specialties delicious Grilled “nem chua”.

“nem chua” are peeled banana leave outside, skewer on bamboo stick, grill over charcoal. Grill “ nem chua” think easy but do very difficult, the people who grill must constantly flip back and watch the “nem chua” is cooked to take out immediately to guava leave not burned, that’s delicious. After “ nem chua “ are grilled, they are served on a meter of bamboo, customers sit on plastic chairs on pavement, while eating and watching the streets... The spicy, sweet fleshy fat in each pepper  sauce “ nem chua” in the freeze air of winter always been an interesting cuisine that many people preferred Hanoi.
